Miss Potter

August 6th, 2007 by --KALEB NATION--

The wonderful story of Beatrix Potter, world-renowned author of all those children’s books including Peter Rabbit and others. Perfect acting from Renee Zellweger. Appearance by Ewen McGregor, who played Obi-wan Kenobi in the three latest Star Wars. The story flows very smoothly with a wonderful soundtrack and scenes which connect wonderfully. The only flaw I noticed was when Beatrix went to her publisher and asked how much money she had in royalties (You have enough to buy an estate, Miss Potter!). This is quite unrealistic, as I doubt she would have made so much money and not ever known about it enough to look so shocked. Anyhow, it’s a must-watch for anyone who dreams of being an author or who wants a good story a.k.a Driving Miss Daisy.

A curiosity: this movie was coincidentally released very near the Harry Potter movie, and features a cast member named Emily Watson, among other superficial things I noticed between the two…

Ummmm, excuse me, this was not only a wonderful movie but the BEST movie hollywood has put out since Driving Miss Daisy!! And one of the few movies I will stop long enough to sit through. The music was absolutely beautiful and plays in our home daily.
