Kenny Chesney - Don`t Blink

August 21st, 2007 by --KALEB NATION--

Here’s a clip of the new song from the upcoming Kenny Chesney album called Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, out on September 11th. This song is a reasonably good track but still isn’t quite up to the mark of his previous songs, though it will inevitably end up somewhere near the top of country charts since they’re in another jurisdiction of music entirely, ruled by the big names which become immediate hits whether the song is good or not (Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s latest as an example). The song is titled Don’t Blink.

Interesting to note is that I actually saw this guy in concert once, before he was anybody. It was a free show outside a Wal-Mart in the city where we used to live, years ago. He had a sizable crowd for just a parking lot show, but now he’s got entertainer of the year and is one of the biggest guys in the country music biz.

Comment Box: Has anyone ever seen him in concert before or after he was famous? Also, what do you think of the song?

I sometimes listen to country music like crazy, but other times I can’t stand it. I’m in the I-can’t-stand-it mood right now. ;)

I’ve been lucky enough to see him in concert 3 times, and he’s truly a talented guy. Can’t wait for the new album!!!!!!!

I’ve seen Kenny 7 times total…all since 2001…not that I didn’t BEG my parents each time he was here prior to take me to see him, cause I totally did…each year he just gets better. And each album just gets better…he’s amazing, and I can’t wait for the new album cause between “never wanted nothing more” and what I’ve heard of “don’t blink,” it’s gonna be really freakin’ hot, just like his current tour!!! Kenny puts his heart and soul into what he does, and that’s why I’ve been a HUGE fan since 1994…I was 12, and he was a chubby hick…now I’m 25 and he’s a totally fit beach bum!!! How times change…but my admiration for him remains strong as ever!!!

He is amazing and puts on an unbelievable show. If you’ve never seen him, I would strongly recommend it. You will be hooked. It’s like no concert you have ever been to. I even walked down the aisle to a Kenny song. One concert will change you life and you’ll be a fan for life like me.

I’ve never seen him in concert, and I think the song’s okay. I’ve heard better from him.

I’ve seen this guy in concert and I’ll have to agree with Jennifer Lee…..this was like no concert I have ever been to before. It was my first Kenny Concert and not my last. His music is unreal. You can just tell by the awesome shows he continues to put on, he is an entertainer who truly cares about his fans. And I’m not a big country music fan…just a Kenny fan. For Life! =) Trust me on this one, if you haven’t seen him in concert….go. You’ll then understand what I’m talking about!

I live in St. Louis and seen him in concert on 8/10, and I’m flying out to Virginia Beach, VA this evening to visit friends and hit his concert again tomorrow night. It will be the 3rd concert of his I’ve seen this year (Columbia, MO as well), 6th show in the last 2 years, and 9th show overall. He is truely an entertainer. No other concerts come close.

I’m a huge Kenny fan because his music does prompt me to think about my life and how I live it. Ok, maybe his new song “Don’t Blink” isn’t his best … the title could be better … but check out the video (AOL) and it will bring the song to a new level with you!! His videos usually bring his songs to life and drive home their true meanings.

This song is pretty good, his shows are amazing. Although he’s getting into a routine of just doing his hits. I’d like to see his “Keg in the Closet” Tour this year, it’s where he visisits alot of college bars.

I just saw Kenny in concert at Ford Field for the second year in a row and he was absolutely AMAZING!! It is so amazing to see thousands of people singing his songs all at the same time. That more than proves how huge of a star he is and how great he is. His new song sounds good, but I like his faster songs like Summertime and Never Wanted Nothin More a little better.

I’ve seen him in concert only once….but it was AWESOME! He is a wonderful down-to-earth performer. And I love “Don’t Blink.” The lyrics are very true!

I think it is a beautiful song. I’m not much into country but this song hits home. It is so true. I know because I was 21 and turned around and suddenly I was 58.
