Metro Station - Shake It

May 31st, 2008 by --KALEB NATION--

Metro Station - Shake ItI have been hearing this song repeatedly on the radio. It has become so common that they might as well just put the track on replay and leave the studio for a vacation. The sudden popularity of the song Shake It by some new group named Metro Station shocked me. So imagine my lack of surprise when I found out that the lead singer is Somehow Attached To Miley Cyrus, whose very name turns careers to gold. In fact, he is her older brother, Trace Cyrus.

Right, I didn’t know she had an older brother either. And he obviously doesn’t want to be known as such, because his music isn’t exactly for her age group and I haven’t seen any stickers on the album yet broadcasting METRO STATION (Featuring Miley Cyrus’ brother!), even though that would guarantee a platinum album. It’s a solid debut, though I’m sure I will quickly tire of it; I think they’d be best described as The Killers’ younger, more emo siblings.

Ha! I don’t blame him. If I was Miley’s sibling, especially older sibling, I wouldn’t want to know that I was popular just because of her. That would suck and would be really annoying.

I’ve heard this song on the radio once, and then afterwards the DJ said it was Miley’s older brother. And I don’t really like the song that much, actually. It’s just not my kinda song.

… Or perhaps it’s the other way around. Perhaps Miley and her producers don’t want anybody to know she’s related to him. ;)

    Here’s perhaps why: http://www.bobthespaztasticpenguin.net/MetroStation/1/MetroStation172.png

Definitely not really a positive-looking influence for Miley’s “innocent” character.

I’ve heard this song before. My sister listens to it over and over and over and over again. It’s okay, I guess. Definitely NOT my favorite song. But, i’m surprised that you are just writing about it.

Wow, the lyrics are so inspiring and creative. .________.

It’s okay, but it’s definatly not a song I would sing in the shower. *haha*

the song is good and catchy. As for Miley oh well..if the brother is good looking who needs her?

I don’t think Miley Cirus can sing. Her brother was okay, but not something I would usually listen to. :/

I think it’s interesting that another band member is one of the Mitchel Musso’s brothers (a cast member on Hannah Montana). Other than that, the song definitely isn’t the best I’ve ever heard. It’s one of those songs you get stuck in your head and then wanna shoot yourself…

I wouldn’t want that too public either.
